TYPE: 911 GT3 Cup (996 Cup) Car
Under extreme high temperature racing conditions, the fuel tank vent line can soften and, possibly, kink. The resultant restriction could cause elevated pressure in the tank, which could lead to damage to the fuel system or risk of personal injury as a result of contact with fuel.
To ensure proper ventilation of the fuel tank, the following modification is necessary:
- Inspect the routing of the vent line as indicated in picture #1.
- If necessary, re-route as indicated in picture #2.
- Pass the vent line through the bracket as shown in picture #3 to complete the modification.
