TYPE: 911 3.8 RSR
Some 3.8 RSR teams have experienced excessive oil overflow from the engine oil tank under racing conditions due to faulty breather line check valves.
Porsche Motorsport suggests the following recommendations or modifications:
1. Remove the faulty check valve from the oil tank vent line #39.
2. Install new vent line.
3. Connect the new line to the catch cannister.
4. Cannister must vent to atmosphere.
